Turmoil, Threats, Teams, Taxes and Thanksgiving

Of those five T’s I’ll take number 5, Thanksgiving, please.  This morning turmoil thrives in the Middle East; threats abound between the House and Senate and between the President and certain members of Congress; sports teams ready for Holiday battles; tax questions trigger trauma in most of us; and many in the US turn thoughts to giving thanks

As much as we might like to control world, national, local and even sporting events (maybe especially those) we feel frustrated because most, if not all, is totally out of our control.

But … we can control our attitude.  Right now a grateful heart for God’s good seems appropriate.  No, not all is good, but God can work it for good.

“God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

What can you do today?  Start giving thanks.

“It is good to give thanks to The Lord, and to sing praises to His name, O Most High…” Psalm 92:1

“Oh give thanks to The Lord, call on His name…” Psalm 105:1

“Praise The Lord!  Oh give thanks to The Lord, for He is good; for His loving kindness is everlasting.” Psalm 106:1

Feel thankful yet?
