Obama – Time Magazine’s Person of 2012

Time Magazine announced its 2012 Person of the Year recipient, President Obama.  Evidently the magazine staff view Obama as the symbol and architect of a new America.

Whether you agree or not, the President will no doubt enjoy the honor but, in a year from now he’ll be replaced by another.  Does anyone remember the name of the 2011 recipient?  I don’t either.  But, there is a name above all names; one to remember for all the ages.

“Therefore also God highly exalted Him (Jesus), and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow … ” Philippians 2:9-10a

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth …” Psalm 8:1

Even Time Magazine can’t do all that.
