Bible Thought Blessings – Colossians 3:16

Blessings through God’s Word!  Prayer requests?

Colossians 3:16, “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom, teaching …”

I visited a friend in the hospital this week and carried a couple of devotionals tucked inside a clear blue folder.  Unknowingly I parked in the doctor’s parking lot and the door I needed to enter proved to be a physician’s only entrance.  However, a man in scrubs was just exiting and held the door open for me.

When I discovered I was in the wrong building, a nurse directed me to take the employee elevator.  Upon arrival at my friend’s empty room, the station nurse asked if I was there for an assessment to which I replied, “Just a visit.”

I finally found my friend and after a brief chat I left the devotionals with her.  I wound my way back to the car and reflected on the day’s events.  I realized that blue folder must have granted me preferential status … I’ll have to remember that!

God’s Word is like that blue folder.  When we carry its truth of Jesus in our hearts, it brings us to spiritual places otherwise inaccessible.  It not only opens the door to God’s Kingdom it also allows access to incredible opportunities here and now.

Choose God’s preferential status and spend quality time in His Word – the all-access pass to eternity!
